Support Monterey Park and Half Moon Bay

On Saturday, January 21, a gunman opened fire on the Star Ballroom in Monterey Park, during a Lunar New Year celebration, killing 11 and injuring 9 people. Two days later, on January 23, a second gunman shot and killed 7 farmworkers at two local nurseries in Half Moon Bay, California located in San Mateo County.

Get support using this resource directory. Compiled by AAPI Equity Alliance, this guide lists mental health and other services for victims, survivors, and community members. It is available in eight different Asian languages.

Half Moon Bay

Get support using this resource, also available in simplified Chinese and Spanish, compiled by Stop AAPI Hate and Chinese for Affirmative Action. It includes local and culturally-literate assistance and mental health services. 

Make a donation to the Half Moon Bay Victims Fund. Co-organized by Stop AAPI Hate and other community groups, this fund will provide direct relief to the victims and families of Half Moon Bay. 

Make a donation to the Half Moon Bay Support Fund. Organized by the Asian Pacific Fund, donations will go to nonprofits providing in-language and culturally-literate support to affected individuals in Half Moon Bay.

Make a donation to the Coastside Victims Fund. Organized by the Mavericks Community Foundation and the SMCU Community Fund, with the support of the City of Half Moon Bay, donations will directly support survivors and victims’ families.
