Overview

Stop AAPI Hate conducts research on Asian American and Pacific Islander communities to increase public understanding of who we are, the racial issues that impact us, and the solutions we would like to see. This includes studies analyzing our data on reported acts of hate as well as studies that go beyond our dataset. With support from a growing network of research partners, our coalition takes a closer look into questions like: What is the connection between anti-China rhetoric and anti-Asian hate? How do Asian American and Pacific Islander communities encounter and respond to civil rights violations? What is the impact of racism on the mental health of Asian Americans?

Research Reports

Our research reports are deeper dives into specific issues related to anti-Asian and anti-Pacific Islander racism or specific Asian American and Pacific Islander populations. Reports are based on our data on reported acts of hate, additional data collected in partnership with other researchers, or a combination of these two sources. They include policy recommendations and action steps that are informed by key research findings.
