Ways to Give

Our fight for racial justice depends on the support of hundreds of thousands of like-minded organizations and individuals just like you. From workplace giving to stock giving, there are multiple ways you can show your support for AAPI communities, on top of giving a one time donation. Keep reading for more on how to make an impact. 

Monthly Giving

Monthly sustainers make a lasting impact on our work. By setting up a recurring gift, your chosen donation amount will be automatically deducted each month—providing steady support we can count on. Simply go to our donation page and select the recurring monthly gift option.

Workplace Giving

Workplace giving is more than a paycheck deduction – it’s a way to stand in solidarity with Stop AAPI Hate and receive a tax deduction. 

Reach out to your AAPI ERG or HR department to see if your company has an employee giving program. Your workplace may provide matching employee contributions, effectively doubling the value of your gift.

Stock Giving

A gift of stocks, bonds, or mutual funds can be one of the most tax-efficient ways to give. 

The process is simple. Your broker can make a direct transfer to our account, and we’ll provide the banking details and a tax acknowledgement for your records. Whether you’re giving a few shares or a larger portfolio, your contribution helps us continue building lasting change. If you’re considering this option, we recommend consulting with your financial advisor to maximize the benefits for you and the communities we serve.

Donor Advised Fund

A donor-advised fund (DAF) is a charitable savings account that makes it easy for you to dedicate funds to your favorite causes.

Individuals, families, or businesses in the US can create a DAF by contributing cash, stock, or other assets to your financial institution, such as Fidelity, Schwab, Vanguard, or a local community foundation. You will receive an immediate tax deduction for your contribution to the DAF. 

You can donate to Stop AAPI Hate from your DAF by contacting your financial institution or advisor. Stop AAPI Hate’s fiscal sponsor is Chinese for Affirmative Action, and make sure to include “Stop AAPI Hate” in the memo field.

Planned Giving

You can give a legacy of care and justice that extends far beyond our lifetimes. By including Stop AAPI Hate in your will, trust, or estate plans, your values will continue to shape the future for generations to come.
